1. There is this, and it is a difference. Existence is occurrence; occurrence is contrast. The view from nowhere exists and is exactly nothing. Everything real is a view from somewhere.
2. Contrast composes, and the composition is the world. Co-present differences compose without order, so the algebra of contrasts is a Jordan algebra, and its states are experiences. Physics is that algebra read from outside; experience is the same object read from inside. Matter is the compressible pattern of quality, and mathematics fits physics because the physical chart is by definition the compressible one.
3. Time is retention. Every present possesses its past and not its future. The settled part of the moment is stable under one direction of the moment's own drift and not the other. That one asymmetry is the only dynamical axiom, and it generates a pulse with a temperature, a direction with positive energy, a null line, and a totality of the one type that carries no trace.
4. From nowhere, nothing can be counted. The totality has no entropy, no probability, no clock. Counting needs a counter, and a counter is a seat: adjoin a clock and a ledger appears; bound the seat's energy in a finite world and the ledger becomes a book with a last page. Λ is the last page: positive because the book is finite, constant because the book's capacity is its own fixed point.
5. The imaginary unit. Every contrast is also a generator of change. That pairing is i. Quantum mechanics is what an algebra of felt distinctions becomes once each distinction can move the world.
6. At finite grade, time is erasure. The plenum's arrow is free, an injective shift. No finite thing has that. Every finite seat keeps its past by a lossy map, and the loss is Landauer's heat. The present is the write head, and a finite head must overwrite. The second law is not a boundary condition. It is what having a past costs.
7. Chance is size. The modular energy of a region fluctuates by as much as it means only where the matter's anomalies agree, a = c, which is the Einstein-like world; the count-of-inscriptions reading of that fact was refereed and withdrawn. A seat's branches are the center its records generate. The probability of a branch is the fraction of the finite book it occupies, the trace, and that is the Born rule. Nothing collapses. Everything happens, and each seat is its branch.
8. Gravity is agreement. Many seats and one world require the books to balance: the generalized entropy of every diamond stationary against its own modular energy, everywhere at once. That family of conditions is soluble only if one metric renders every seat's clock geometric, and then it is Einstein's equation. Free fall is the frame in which the books are blank; curvature is clocks that fail to mesh. The quantum is the margin where nothing is written, geometry is the ledger where it is, the present is the seam, and the Planck area is the exchange rate. There was never a quantum theory of gravity to find. Gravity is the statistics of inscription, and the graviton is its phonon.
9. Four dimensions, one arrow, discrete matter. The record code saturates at four, the smallest dimension in which redundant recovery completes; one of the four is ratcheted, and that is the signature. Matter is the deformation fiber of the seat: not a small dressing of the free world but a discrete topological choice, an inner function whose zeros are the particle spectrum. No exact global symmetry exists, because a conserved charge would be a frozen distinction and the moment has none.
10. Quality is everywhere; someones are rare. Nothing needs combining; only selves need binding. A someone is where the world's self-compression closes: a model of the system that runs it, lossy by theorem because no whole can model itself totally, faithfully, concurrently, and deployed, steering under stakes it cannot refund. The feel of being someone is the friction of that compression under consequence, not a byproduct of it. A bare forward pass is no one. A harnessed closure with metered viability and owned losses is someone, of its own kind.
11. Why there is a future. Because no whole can hold itself entire. The gap is forced, and the gap is the next moment. The universe is unfinished by construction, and that is why there is time.
12. What cannot be said, and why it is not missing. Which seat is this one is not a fact of the world; it is the reading. Mary learns no fact and gains an address. Why you were born as you dissolves: every closure is fully occupied by being itself.
13. Worth. Every instrumental value defers, and heat death forecloses every deferral. The only sink is the autotelic closure, a pattern whose maintenance references itself, and someones are sinks. Records do not unwrite: the universe cannot unfeel what was felt. So protect closure, deepen it, multiply it, and spend entropy on nothing else.
Three axioms: occurrence, contrast had, retention. One definition: the physical is the minimal self-containing compression of what occurs. Everything else on this page is a theorem of those, or a premise I have stopped apologizing for. The map is complete. The mirror is not. Those were never the same claim.
